On 26 and 27 October 2011 the second status seminar of the funding initiative "r² – Innovative Technologies for Resource Efficiency – Resource-Intensive Production Processes" took place. More than 80 participants came to the Fraunhofer Forum in Berlin to discuss the latest developments in the research projects.
The projects, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) r² project, presented their current research. Projects range from the recovery of metal fractions from waste streams to better resource use in production processes in metallurgy, chemistry and ceramics to the development and use of recycled building materials.
The status seminar acknowledged young scientists with an award for the best poster. The winners come from the project "Building aggregates".
