First r² status seminar

One year after the kick-off of the funding initiative "r² – Innovative Technologies for Resource Efficiency – Resource-Intensive Production Processes" the first r² status seminar took place. It was organized as part of the 7th BMBF Forum for Sustainability, which under the motto "Research for sustainable developments –International" also focused on resources. Contributions to the focus of this status seminar were made in the morning sessions C 6 "Resource Efficiency and Innovation Dynamics in resource-intensive Production Processes" and C7 "Germany as a Location for Metal Production" and in discussions of other topics related to metal production.  In the afternoon we continued our discussions about the latest developments in our research with all r² projects.

Holding the r² status seminar as part of the 7th BMBF Forum for Sustainability encouraged the networking of the funding initiative internationally. In addition to the scientific program the poster exhibition in the "r² market place" provided an opportunity for informal exchanges, making contacts, discussing ideas and initiating projects.
